Super Effective Anti Inflammatory Turmeric Dressings

Turmeric has been around for centuries in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to treat a wide variety of ailments. The magical substance which gives turmeric its many health benefits – curcumin – has been well-studied over the last decades, and is known as a powerful antioxidant which has demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric is a true superfood and its anti-inflammatory effects have been shown to be comparable to some well-known drugs such as ibuprofen. However unlike drugs, which are associated with side effects, turmeric is considered to be a much safer option (and you can read my previous article about turmeric extract that has been found to be as effective as ibuprofen for knee osteoarthritis, as well as my article about the research being done about turmeric as a possible natural rival to dangerous depression medication).

I’ve written in a nutshell about the many health benefits of turmeric, including how to make an anti-inflammatory turmeric ginger tea, golden milk and golden honey which is a strong natural antibiotics.

What many people don’t know is that while turmeric is a powerful and effective compound for treating a wide range of diseases, it has low absorption and rapid metabolism that lead to relatively low bioavailability in the body, and in my previous article I’ve discussed how to greatly improve turmeric’s bioavailability.

Adding turmeric to your daily nutrition is a wise step, and indeed turmeric can be added to many dishes, smoothies and drinks, and it can also be added as a dressing for salads, roasted vegetables or other dishes. It adds a vibrant color to the dressing and earthy warm taste.

Here I would like to share with you some great and simple dressing recipes which will give your salads, roasted veggies or other dishes the extra kick combined with the many health benefits of turmeric.
